About Us

My goal as a good breeder is to breed first for temperament and then conformation. My dogs are a big part on my life. They are kept inside my home and are trained to behave themselves. When one of my ladies is close to whelping I move her into my bedroom so I can be close when the time arrives. There she and her litter stay until they are ready to go to their new homes. I never want to grow to the point that I can’t give this kind of supervision to all of them. I love to have puppies around -- they are so much fun to watch.

Breeding gives me the best of both worlds. After the puppies are born, I can love them, spoil them, and then hand them off to their new families to finish what I have started. When mom no longer wants to take care of her brood I take over. They begin housebreaking at about 4 to 5 weeks and are well on their way to good habits at a very early age. This reduces the stress on them when the new owners expect the same behavior, as they are already being trained to do here.

I only breed a bitch once a year.

I tell each new owner if it does not work out for them please do not place them in the pound but return them to me for placement in a good home.

If I have a puppy that I feel is not suitable to be bred I will require a spay/neuter contract and give only a limited registration on that dog.

When I am in search of dogs I purchase them as puppies and raise them here. If I get one that does not meet my standards for temperament I will find it a good home, take the loss myself and not use it to breed.
